Timothy Aiken (XQIZIT)
Timothy Aiken, known in the graffiti world as XQIZIT, is a Queens-based artist from South Jamaica who’s been transforming city walls into vibrant masterpieces since the early 1980s. His creative journey began with a government grant to paint murals in local parks and collaborate with community organizations like Brinkerhoff Action, promoting neighborhood development through art. A pioneer in legal graffiti art, Timothy received strong support from local businesses, making him one of the few artists of his era to create street-style murals with full community backing.
In 2008, he gained widespread recognition after winning a Converse-sponsored Sneaker Battle design contest, earning the opportunity to have his artwork featured and sold across sneaker stores in New York City.
Timothy’s style blends classic graffiti with cultural storytelling and community empowerment. A proud graduate of John Adams High School, he continues to create alongside long-time friend and collaborator SCORP. Together, they co-founded Queens Mural Kings (QMK)—a dream realized through decades of friendship, artistry, and resilience. Timothy believes in the power of visual storytelling:
“If you’ve been blessed with a talent, let your mind direct your hands to create what it envisions—be XQIZIT!”
Bert Wigfall (SCORP)
Bert Wigfall, better known as SCORP (TDN: Too Damn Nasty), is a seasoned graffiti artist from Queens, New York. He began tagging in 1980, transitioning to subway art in 1982, mastering everything from tagging and bubble letters to full-blown piecing.
With a deep passion for drawing and painting since childhood, SCORP found his artistic voice in graffiti—an expressive, urban artform that allowed him to blend movement, message, and visual energy. After stepping away from the scene in the late ’80s due to life’s demands, he made a triumphant return in 2019 thanks to the encouragement of longtime friend DWANE TC.
Now fully re-immersed in the graffiti world, SCORP brings wisdom, energy, and creative grit to every wall he touches. As co-founder of Queens Mural Kings, he’s reclaiming his space in the mural world and honoring his roots by creating new memories, one masterpiece at a time.
